TROPHIES by Oldani

Anatomy of a Trophy

Since trophies come in so many shapes and sizes, it can be difficult to even know where to start. If you'd like to create your own, using the same terminology makes everything easier to understand. Below, you'll find the key parts of a trophy and how they fit together in the finished piece.

Customizing Your Trophy

Engraving can be added to the front and the back of the lower section of the cup. Trophy bases can also be engraved. Pewter bases are engraved directly on the metal of the base. Wood bases have a removable plaque that can be engraved.
To engrave the trophy, please include the following:

  1. Exact text to be engraved
  2. Font: (Print, Script, Old English, Custom Font)
  3. Any special instructions regarding layout.

Logos and other artwork should at least 600x600 pixels. Formats can be (png, jpg, ai, eps). If you have a question about a specific format, please ask.

Return the award after the event, and we will inscribe it for you.

Every trophy has the option to come with an engravable base. Bases come in round metal, round black wood with metal band, and square wood with metal plaque. Every base can be engraved with each years winners, an event name, company logo, or artwork/text of your choosing.

A great way to customize your trophy is to add a custom finial. We carry a selection of finials for events like golf, horseback events, and tennis. Another great way to find a pewter figurine online. Hundreds of professional and amateur craftsmen online make beautiful pewter figurines that can take your trophy to the next level. Make sure that the figurine is the correct size before purchasing. A rule of thumb for sizing: multiply the height of the finial by 10, and you should get close to the height of the trophy.

We can make any of our trophies in either pewter or sterling silver. Some of the most prestigious trophies in the world are sterling silver including the Lombardi trophy, Stanley Cup, and Borgwarner. Our craftsmen have trained extensively in the art of large-scale silversmithing.

Trophies and awards come in two different types of finish: bright and satin. A bright finish, also known as mirror or high polish, is shiny, reflective, and looks beautiful in front of cameras or a crowd. A satin polish is a beautiful, soft matte finish that is more durable and often associated with an antique look. Although any of our products look great with either finish, we often recommend bright finishes for trophies, and satin finish for trays.
